Mark is Vice President of Design and Construction and a Principal of J. A. Billipp Company, a commercial and industrial real estate development and investment company with operations in Houston and Austin.  For over twenty-five years, his project design and construction management expertise has assisted J. A. Billipp Company develop and own an extensive array of high quality “build- to-suit” and multi-tenant office, technical and office/warehouse/production facilities.  J. A. Billipp Company also focuses on selective acquisition of investment grade commercial and industrial properties, and is a general partner of various joint venture-owned development and investment properties allowing for attractive investor, landowner and/or tenant ownership participation. 

Prior to joining J. A. Billipp Company in 1984, Mark moved to Houston upon graduating from college in 1981 to begin his career with Fluor Engineers, Inc.  His three years of experience working large petrochemical projects prepared him well for the management of commercial real estate development projects ever since.

Mark grew up near Cincinnati, Ohio and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.  He resides in Houston with his wife, Karin Broker.

Mark is involved and has served in many leadership roles for the Houston Real Estate Council, is a member of the Houston Chapter of NAIOP and serves on the Board of Directors of Houstonians for Responsible Growth.  He has also served extensively on the City of Houston Tree and Shrub Ordinance Committee.

Mark currently serves as the Past President of the Houston Real Estate Council.
